Diana to me was at her best in the Blue album where she sings jazz similar to her Lady Sings the Blues spin as Billie.

The thing is, Gordy had other executives over seeing The Supremes by this time. His focus was Diana Ross and The Jackson 5 around this time.

I read an article stating that Diana complained of Flo over singing over her. Listening to their music, the background sounds as good as the lead.

I always thought the post-Diana Ross Supremes were vastly under-rated. They're albums were great, particularly the ones w. Jean Terrell. This is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

I love all the Supremes appearances on the Ed Sullivan show over the years. He seemed to really have an enormous amount of respect for them all, he appears to be a very classy gent. :)

Most of the songs were not hits or played on the radio or invited to perform on tv shows. They were still unknown at the time of some of these songs.

Is it just me, but in the last clip are Mary's teeth snap-on or some thing? They have never been that big and weren't before she died.

I love how Miss Francis guessed “The Supremes.” By that point, they had become so ubiquitously iconic and successful the female vocal group. 💿❤🎵

Jean was a good singer, but she was a pain in the ass while in the Supremes and made their lives miserable. She hated being a Supreme and thought she could be a star on her own. Didn't happen. Then years later, she became a Former Ladies of the Supremes singing the songs she hated. How funny is that? I guess the girl had to make a living. Now she occasionally tours and sings with jazz musicians and performs old Supremes songs in dive clubs. Snort.

Mary hit those high notes long and strong.
